A HAZY DAY

PREVIOUS / NEXT

LIFESTYLE by KRISS on 18 june 2018

Last Friday was a most anticipated day for me and I spent most of the week hagard, not paying much attention to anything else than the little wheels in my mind.
That upset Kate a lot and now Rose also joins in to give me a lesson now and then.
Very upsetting the other way around but what can you say when they are right !

The source of my dreading this Friday was that it was marked with important events of great significance in our lives right now.

We were handing down the shop to the new people who are going to run it, we were going to sell our car and we had to pick up Amy back from Madrid at an unknown time.
Organising all this seemed like a tough one to me and I actually waited last minute to book a rental car to drive back from the sale of the car in Malaga.

Somehow I must have known something was off about this day.
Handing down the keys of the shop went fine although I did it with a bitter taste of failure.
Had I managed my business well, I would have been taking on staff instead of giving the baby away.
Everything is not in my hands though and I have no control over tourism in the area…

Selling the car went wrong though.
We called on a big name of car selling in Spain “compramostucoche.es” which translates to “we buy your car”.
These guys advertise a lot on TV and on the web.
They have good reviews (on their own website, how dumb can I be sometimes) so I asked for a quote on the internet.
The quote being reasonably good we took an appointment to sell the car.
Their second quote was half as much as the first one though and once I was over feeling cheated and wasting my time (a couple of minutes in the guys pre fabricated office in the middle of a parking lot) I drove back my car to the marina with now a bigger problem : I have a week to sell the car… good !

Amy arrived later and was surprised we still had the car.
When we came back to the boat there was a very dense fog in the marina and the air was thick with heat and humidity.

I don’t know why but I just felt like taking pictures so I grabbed a tripod and I went.
The atmosphere was really on par with the way I felt at the time… eerie.
